The 12th edition of the “Open to Scandinavia” conference will take place on October 30, 2025, at the Hotel Wileński in Olsztyn. What topics will we cover this time?

HR the Scandinavian way

Scandinavian companies are considered some of the best places to work in the world. Why is that? What values and principles guide their organizational culture? Ilona Rainko, an expert with over 10 years of experience in HR operations, payroll management, and implementing employee processes in an international environment, will introduce conference participants to a unique approach to human resources management and help them understand the Scandinavian work culture – based on trust, flat hierarchies, and work-life balance.

Legal challenges in international expansion

Entering a foreign market is not only an opportunity but also a series of legal challenges. Łukasz Żak from Żak Legal Support Office will discuss potential pitfalls and differences in regulations between Poland and Scandinavia. The expert will advise on what to look for to protect your interests, how to negotiate contracts, protect intellectual property, and avoid costly mistakes that can derail expansion plans. This presentation is a must-have for anyone seriously considering doing business abroad.

Panel discussion: how are Polish products perceived in Scandinavian markets?

Are Polish products recognized in Scandinavia? What is their reputation? This panel discussion is a unique opportunity to hear the opinions of people who work with Polish products and services in the Nordic countries every day. This will be a valuable source of knowledge that will help entrepreneurs adapt their marketing strategy and gain a competitive advantage. The panel will feature Tuomas Asunmaa (Spondeo, Finland), Daniel Jastrun (Swedish-Polish Chamber of Commerce), Jagienka Komorowska-Hellden (Helldén Solutions, Denmark), Ewa Danela Burdon (President of the NPCC Norwegian-Polish Chamber of Commerce) and Krzysztof Gajdamowicz (Visimind Ltd).
