New technologies also in Warmia and Mazury

Economic potential of the Warmia and Mazury region was thoroughly discussed at the conference "Innovative Warmia and Mazury. Healthy life - pure profit", which took place on 16 November in Warsaw.

Apart from the Marshal of the province, the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, was attended by representatives of large foreign and domestic companies representing various sectors: consulting, real estate, pharmaceuticals, hotel, furniture manufacturing and wood processing or catering. The representatives of trade departments of selected foreign embassies in Poland, parliamentarians and media representatives also joined the discussion about the economic potential of Warmia and Mazury.

Airline Fare Auditor – Office Work

Airline auditing company located in Olsztyn, with head office in Dublin, has vacancies for auditors for full time positions (working hours 8.00-16:00 but flexibility possible).

Job duties include the specialized skill of checking / auditing airline ticket billings for the purpose of proration settlements. Each successful candidate will be given a full time intensive 8 - 14 week training course to prepare for the job.

Requirements:
• Minimum high school graduate with very good skills in math and reading comprehension
• Very good knowledge of English
• Must be computer literate
• Highly focused attention to numeracy and detail
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Airline, audit or accounting experience a plus, but not required

Polish-Scandinavian Economic Cooperation - the region of Warmia and Mazury opens for Scandinavia (conference coverage)

Entrepreneurs, local government officials and employees of business-related institutions agree that cooperation between the Warmińsko-Mazurskie region and the Scandinavian countries can bring benefits to both parties. What benefits are those? This was the topic of today's conference "Open to Scandinavia", which took place in Elbląg.

Actions taken by the local government of the Warmia and Mazury region so far (the main organizer of the conference) have been based mainly on two way visits, one-on-one meetings and contacts, promotional campaigns. Especially for the investors from Europe and our own country a new tool has been developed - investment calculator, where you can compare labour costs and tax relief in individual countries.

Applied Design promoting itself in Brussels - also from the region of Warmia and Mazury

Wall Art Paper from Jonkowo, Liralighting from Elbląg and Suszek Design from Olsztyn are representing our region at Polish Design Island exhibition. It is a part of a recurring event called Brussels Design September, which lasts until 18 September in Brussels.

The goal of the Polish Design Island exhibition is to promote and demonstrate Polish applied design. In the heart of the capital of Belgium, on St. Catherine's Square, Polish designers will present a pavilion arranged as a living room.
