    AIRPORT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Olsztyn-Mazury Airport<\/strong> has been operating in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship since 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Olsztyn-Mazury Airport is located in Szymany, 10 km from Szczytno and 56 km from Olsztyn (the capital of the region). You can get there by car or train \u2013 the journey from Szymany to Olsztyn takes less than an hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      PORT AND MARITIME TRANSPORT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      With Elbl\u0105g seaport (the largest port of the Vistula Lagoon), the Warmia and Mazury region enjoy access to the Baltic Sea. It provides a sea connection between the Vistula Lagoon and the Gulf of Gda\u0144sk within Polish territory. The waterfront spans for a total length of nearly 3.7 km. The port operates the lagoon and Baltic coastal shipping of goods and passengers. The seaport is located in Elbl\u0105g on the Elbl\u0105g River. The area of the Elbl\u0105g River up to the port limits enjoys the status of internal sea waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Elbl\u0105g seaport is connected by railway and roads with Kaliningrad, Warsaw, Gda\u0144sk, Olsztyn, Malbork, and Braniewo. The Border Guard, Customs Office, Harbor Master\u2019s Office, Sea Port Authority and Phytosanitary Inspection Facility operate in the port area<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The port has 5 basins, a repair yard, a 150-ton crane, a 120-meter-long ship turntable, a railroad siding, and cargo and passenger terminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The canal will give access to Elbl\u0105g by 100- or 180-meter-long (a set of barges), 20-meter-wide sea vessels with a draught of 4.5 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      ROADS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The Warmia and Mazury region means easy logistics thanks to expressway \u201cSeven,\u201d which connects Krak\u00f3w, Warsaw and Gda\u0144sk (part of the road runs through the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship), other expressways, and national roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The expressway network is subject to ongoing expansion. At present, there are 257,5 kilometers of expressways in the voivodeship, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      – expressway S7 from Warsaw to Gda\u0144sk; the entire part that runs through the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship enjoys the expressway status;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      – expressway S16 (Mr\u0105gowo \u2013 Orzysz \u2013 E\u0142k), which will be expanded in the coming years and will ultimately reach the Ogrodniki border crossing (state border with Lithuania);<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      – expressway S22, <\/a>running from Elbl\u0105g to the state border (Russia) \u2013 Grzechotki Elbl\u0105g,<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      – expressway S51, <\/strong>Olsztyn \u2013 Olsztynek,<\/strong><\/a> including the Olsztyn bypass,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      – expressway S61, running through E\u0142k to the state border with Lithuania (Budzisko).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      As part of the draft Government Programme for National Roads Construction Until 2030 (with an outlook to the year 2033), there are plans to carry out the following major infrastructure investments in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
